Why We Do This

This contest series exists to make DIY fiber laser building visible, practical, and shared.

The 2nd edition follows the same spirit now shown on the 3rd competition page: builders receive a clear path, official test patterns, public community support, and a structured judging process that rewards real machine performance instead of polished claims.

01

Build with real parts

Participants use SkyFire and Alleria Store resources to turn component selection into a working machine.

02

Prove the machine

Official cutting patterns make the submission easier to judge and easier for other builders to learn from.

03

Share the result

The Facebook group and public contest pages keep the learning loop open after registration.

Competition History

A connected series, not isolated pages.

The 1st contest proved the format. The 2nd contest expanded registration and test files. The 3rd contest now adds a richer event page with divisions, kits, rules, technical documents, and a clearer competition identity.
